Are you a storyteller who wishes you could start your news job today?

If so, here's the program for you. On Saturday, join The Script news team on Script Day and meet professional journalists who will share their experiences and offer suggestions about your career path. The speakers include Justin Tinsley of ESPN's Undefeated, News Reporter Leslie DelasBour of WFTX FOX 4, MTV's Brian "B.Dot" Miller, Emmy Award-winning NBC4 New York Investigative Reporter Jonathan Dienst and Gia Peppers, co-host of Black Girl podcast.

"It's an opportunity to learn from professional journalists," said Keion Cage, associate editor of Hampton University's Script student publication, which has gone digital only during the pandemic.

The event, which begins at 10 a.m. and lasts until noon, also includes the opportunity to work at the Script. The organization is looking for potential writers, photographers and editors. "We want to help people build their resumes and have fun while they are doing it," Cage said.
